The Blood Alliance at Beaufort Memorial Hospital

The Blood Alliance (TBA)—a not-for-profit community blood bank founded in 1942 and headquartered in Jacksonville, Fla.—supplies blood and blood products to hospitals and other medical facilities in northeast Florida and portions of Georgia and South Carolina.

TBA is the sole supplier of blood to Beaufort Memorial Hospital (BMH).

With its donor center and mobile drives, TBA makes a life-giving blood donation easy and convenient.

The Blood Alliance at Beaufort

TBA's Beaufort donor center is located at 1001A Boundary St. (in Uptown Square at the intersection of Boundary and Charles streets). The center provides a pleasant, inviting site at which to give blood.
Donor center hours are:

  • Tuesdays, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

In addition to the standard single-unit donation of whole blood, donation of two units of red blood cells is possible for eligible donors via the center’s Cymbal machine.

Mobile Blood Drives

TBA frequently holds mobile blood drives at venues around Beaufort County. Drive hosts include businesses, schools and universities, government organizations, churches, military installations, and not-for-profits.

You can find a list of blood drive dates here.
