Breast Care Services

Beaufort Memorial Hospital Breast Care Services offers women comprehensive resources for all their breast care needs, including:

• State-of-the-art diagnostic technology, including digital mammography with cushioned Mammopads, stereotactic breast biopsy and MRI-guided breast biopsy.
• Comprehensive treatment resources for breast disease and all stages of breast cancer, including chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
• Access to national clinical trials and other treatment options available to local patients through our Duke Medicine-affiliated cancer program. See a list of currently available clinical trials here.
• A multidisciplinary Tumor Board that meets monthly to discuss cases and best practices and to make informed decisions for optimal care.
• A variety of support groups to address the physical and emotional needs of patients and their families.
• A breast care coordinator to serve as your advocate throughout treatment.

Our multidisciplinary team includes physicians and nurses representing mammography, radiology, pathology, breast surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology, chemotherapy infusion, rehabilitation and breast care coordination.
